Effective issue management is a hot topic these days, which makes sense considering that every week presents us with another organization in need of putting their issue management to practice.
When it comes to your organization’s issue management, equipping your frontline with a response flowchart is essential. A good response flowchart will:
- Provide your team with a visual reference to help them quickly and appropriately assess any given situation.
- Guide your team to effectively manage any type of issue that may arise online.
- Clearly indicate when to jump in and respond, when to sit back and listen, and when to flag the issue for potential escalation.
But when it came to finding a response flowchart that really addressed and guided the team through the important questions, I had a hard time finding one that met my standards and the practical use that I knew my clients needed. So I decided to create my own.
The best part is… if you find it helpful, it’s now yours to download and use or adapt to your particular needs.

Thanks, Richard! I appreciate you sharing it and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. My hope is that it will help guide organizations in the right direction for their issues management. A simple chart like this (when done right) can go a long way in guiding the frontline towards the right actions and responses in a less-than-pleasant situation.
